You'll find The Salamander just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath. Our pub features a
well-stocked bar with a fine range of locally brewed Bath Ales, carefully selected wines, local ciders & premium spirits, including extensive gin, whisky & rum selections, served on the ground floor. Cosy corners to sit and eat, and plenty more seating upstairs.
The menu consists of traditional British pub classics such as fish & chips, cheeseburger & fries, cider cooked ham, egg & chips, alongside plenty of others... We also offer great dishes for gluten free, vegan and other dietary requirements. All of our menu is fresh, using fantastic local suppliers.
The pub attracts an eclectic mix of customers, and our staff are as happy to talk about our food & drink as they are leaving you to enjoy the Salamanders unique ambience.
The dining room is perfect for groups up to 32, to enjoy a more intimate setting or even tour groups looking to host beer tasting sessions and traditional dining experiences. Drop us a line for more details.

We take pride in putting together a menu that features some old favourites blended with dishes that you may not find on other pub menus. We use the best ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible, to create simple and tasty plates for you to savour.
Whether you want to grab a quick sandwich at lunchtime, treat yourself to a delicious dinner or a classic Sunday roast, we have it covered.

We are proud of our roots and serve a range of Bath Ales, alongside beers from further afield.
Try the celebrated "Gem" using traditional British malts, balanced soft fruits and bittersweet caramel with a soft, smooth bitterness. The modern "Anthem" - aromas of citrus & peach that balance perfectly with a grapefruit bitterness in this sessionable amber ale. How about our craft keg, California pale Ale "Monterey" full of pine & tropical notes.
Along with our draught lagers, Budvar, Estrella & Amstel, we feature a range of local ciders, too.
We serve up a fine selection of hand-picked wines and unexpected premium spirits. Why not try a G&T made with Bath Gin & one of our Fever Tree tonic range?
Whatever you choose, you can be sure of a genuine welcome from one of team.
